On June 2, 2022, automation specialist Fabmatics invited guests to Dresden to celebrate the company’s 30th birthday. Although the 30th anniversary of the company’s founding was already last year, due to the corona pandemic, it was only possible to celebrate this summer. More than 320 guests accepted our invitation and were welcomed at the company’s location in the north of Dresden.

For our customers, the day started with exciting insights into our current projects and the presentation of our new products. During a tour through the Fabmatics production, the guests were also able to experience first-hand how our teams develop, manufacture and test our mobile robots, for example. In keeping with the summer temperatures, the entire Fabmatics team, suppliers, partners, neighbors and long-time companions celebrated in a relaxed atmosphere in the marquee and a specially set-up summer lounge until late in the evening.

Fabmatics GmbH was formed in 2016 from the merger of HAP GmbH and Roth & Rau – Ortner GmbH. The products and competencies of the two companies complemented each other almost ideally, and the two teams have also grown together in the meantime. In the meantime, the company has a firm place in the international semiconductor industry and scores with its core competence – the holistic integration of automation systems in semiconductor fabs as well as special knowledge of clean room conditions and SEMI standards. Fabmatics is one of the leading suppliers of automation solutions in the semiconductor industry and employs more than 220 people – with an upward trend. The product portfolio of Fabmatics GmbH includes solutions for handling, transport, and storage of wafers and photomasks as well as systems for real-time identification and localization of products. Fabmatics also supplies handling products to well-known equipment manufacturers for use in semiconductor fabs. Fabmatics will continue to impress with innovative products and solutions.

With this remarkable corporate development behind it, the company is looking extremely positively to the future. Managing Director Dr. Andreas Purath confirms: “We are very pleased that we were able to celebrate our 30th anniversary in such a large circle and in such a beautiful setting with employees, customers and business partners in our third attempt after two postponements due to corona. Both the day event for selected participants and the subsequent party with its supporting program were very well received by the guests. Even the weather cooperated. Not only did we present ourselves as a successful company with good prospects, our guests were also enthusiastic about the atmosphere and the togetherness among the employees. That whets our appetite and makes us very optimistic for the next thirty years.”

As part of the celebrations and the “Donations instead of gifts” campaign, a total of almost 3,000 Euros was donated by our guests to the organizations we selected – Sonnenstrahl e.V., Lichtblick e. V., and TURAG e.V..
